CPCS A09 Forward Tipping Dumper

Course Content:

1. Describe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator
2. Name and explain the purpose of principle components, the basic construction, controls and terminology
3. Confirm with Manufacturer’s requirements as per the operators handbook, other types of information source and the relevant regulations and legislation
4. Undertake all pre-use checks
5. Configure and ready for travel (site and highway)
6. Travel over rough, undulating ground, steep inclines and level surfaces – loaded and unloaded
7. Manoeuvre in confined spaces whilst carrying loads
8. Ensure the suitability of the tipping and loading are
9. Explain actions required for hazards, underground and overhead service
10. Position to receive loads
11. Comply with loading procedure
12. Ensure Loading integrity and security
13. Transfer loads to different locations
14. Discharge loads into trenches and over edges
15. Maintain safe and tidy working areas
16. Carry out shut down and securing procedures
17. Explain loading and unloading procedures for machine transporting

A CITB operative H&S Test must have been passed within the last 2 years is required for this course.

Once you have achieved your Red CPCS Trained Operator Card it lasts for 2 years.

During these 2 years you must work towards and achieve your NVQ in Plant Operations to upgrade to a Blue CPCS Competence Card.
